I was born and raised in Edmonton, where I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta before moving to New York to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at NYU College of Dentistry.
I am honored to step into the role of caring for this clinic and its patients, recognizing the deep trust and connection that Dr. Jessica Alcazar built with this community. Dr. Alcazar’s passion for patient care and her commitment to making a difference in her patients’ lives leave a lasting legacy, one I hope to uphold with the same compassion and dedication.
My approach to dentistry is centered on patient education. I believe that understanding the “why” behind every procedure and focusing on prevention empowers patients to take control of their oral health. I also think communication—often with a touch of humor—is one of the most important tools for creating a comfortable and positive dental experience. My goal is to help every patient leave not only with a healthier smile but also with confidence and clarity about their care.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy sports (especially hockey), cooking, traveling, and spending time with my wife and our playful puppy, Saint Pablo. I’m looking forward to building connections with each of you and continuing to make this clinic a place where you feel supported and cared for.

Our longest-tenured team member is Rose. Helping our family of patients achieve excellent oral health since moving to Sherwood Park from Edmonton in 1990, her community is an important part of Rose’s life. She moved here to raise a family, and specifically looked for a place to work where community involvement was part of the dental practice philosophy! People are her passion and Rose takes a patient-centred approach in all she does. Providing evidence-based dental hygiene care while applying new research and techniques is her focus and she’s happy to share whatever information you want or need to attain and keep a healthy smile.
Away from Granada Dental, Rose and her husband Dave have three grown children and a grand-dog – a German Shepherd named Moog. She loves to entertain her family and friends around a dinner table. Rose is also a past chairperson for the Parent School Council.

Another long-time team member, Monica has been providing caring and dedicated dental hygiene services since 2002! With a BSc from U of A, Monica places her focus on ensuring each of her patients is comfortable and feels…
empowered about their dental care and oral health. Monica enjoys working with people of all ages and can give you whatever oral health education you want or require – no matter your age or stage in life. Treating you as an individual and providing the same level of care she would for her own loved ones is her priority.
Outside of the office, Monica can be found cheering on her kids at their various sports and musical endeavours. Her family enjoys staying active outdoors by camping, fishing, hiking, and skiing.

DR. SANIA GAREWAL
General Dentist
Dr. Sania Garewal completed her undergraduate degree followed by her DDS degree from University of Alberta in 2018. Since then she has been practicing in the Edmonton area helping patients achieve their optimal oral health.
Dr. Garewal specializes in working with patients who experience dental anxiety, and she’s committed to creating a calm and stress-free environment for everyone she sees. She believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients, empowering them to take control of their dental health without fear.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Garewal enjoys reading books, hiking and spending time with her daughter and her husband. She is committed to continuous learning in both her professional and personal life.

Dr. Jessica Alcazar, lovingly known as Dr. Jess, was more than a skilled and compassionate dentist—she was the heart of Granada Dental. A graduate of the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, she devoted herself to providing excellent care, especially to children, and fostering healthy smiles for families in Sherwood Park.
Beyond her exceptional work in dentistry, Dr. Jess was a vibrant member of our community. She balanced her passion for helping others with a love for baking, traveling, and playing hockey. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
Her legacy continues to inspire us every day. At Granada Dental, we honor her memory by upholding her values of kindness, dedication, and the genuine care she gave to every patient.
